So that I do not cause any trouble making too many topics for each of my ideas, I will post all maps that I am currently working on in these posts. As of now, the two I am currently most devoted to are:

Habelya

And Middle Earth

I would like to now add to that list,

Libertarians and Capitalists (description below)

The libertarians have seized control of congress and chaos has arisen! Ever since Perry's election as president, the States have become virtually independent and have even began to raise armies for themselves. Meanwhile, corporate America has nearly tripled in monetary value, and super corporations have gained close ties with the states. Six Governors (and one savvy businessman) now set out, either to conquer or to reunite the United States so that we may one day re-achieve Democracy.

The Dark Red territories are occupied by a single unit that merely holds for the remainder of the game. An Economic board is in place as in Economic Diplomacy. There are, however, crossover points to where a player may move a unit to one side of the board and come out at another. Note that there are also these magic things called canals in the near future, so that there is no longer any separation of coasts.

I am considering adding Alaska and Hawaii somehow, maybe even as their own powers.

It is a 50 SC solo victory. It is NOT build anywhere. There is the capability to transform units to armies or to fleets on any coastal SC.

New form of Variant: GridDiplomacy

Here's a basic map based around Italy. I intend on making more forms of this Variant...if it goes well.

And, here's an improvement.

The Italian Peninsula, is inhabited by numerous civilizations. The lands of Hesperia are flooded with kingdoms vying for dominance. In the struggle, only one can unite these lands and become the greatest of empires. Be that the Romans or any other power strong enough to face all others, is up to you now.

Units may move 'diagonally,' meaning that they may cross over corners.
40 SC's required for a solo victory.
Build anywhere.

Same as any other classic game...except that each nation only starts with 3 units in locations that I'll figure out later.

Something like this:
Aeneid

The larger SC's have standing armies...

Or maybe I could do something with this:
Piri Reis

And I was thinking about a WWII map...

Also, there would be two new units used:

The Marine, equivalent to a fleet, but can travel over land too. (Don't worry, kaner or Oli...I'll figure out how to program that.)

And...

The Fighter Jet, able to travel 2 spaces at once, but only able to fly across land.

And, once again...start with build turn, 50 SC victory.\

Special Rules/Starting Nations:

Instead of the traditional Fleet and Army, there will be used, a Marine unit (Which can travel across land and water), and a Fighter Jet unit (Which can only travel across land...but can move two spaces in a move.) I know how to program this, so it should be no concern to set this up. (I will find and upload the images to be used as armies (Planes), and fleets (Marines) at a later time.)

The Following Nations exist at the start of the game (It starts with a build phase):

Florida
-Florida
-Citrus

Texas
-Texas
-Gas

Virginia
-Virginia
-Cotton

New York
-New York State
-Culture D

California
-California
-Culture C

Loyalists
-Alaska
-Hawaii
-Maine

Industrialists
-Aluminum
-Copper
-Iron

There are 50 SC's required for a solo victory.

There are also points of crossover between the actual map and the economic board. (They coincide at: Alaska, Hawaii, Fish, Wood, Wheat, Cattle, Oil, Cheese, Gold, Silver)

The following territories also start out with a standing unit in them that simply holds until dislodged:
EVIL CANADA
EVIL MEXICO
Oklahoma
Nevada
Wyoming
Wheat
Idaho
Cattle
South Dakota
Iowa
Kansas
Louisiana
North Carolina
Kentucky
Indiana
Michigan
West Virginia
Pennsylvania
Manhattan
Vermont
EVIL ISLANDS

The shield thingies are supposed to be standing Armies. They represent African resistance to Europeans to be trespassing there. Also note that this variant is based on a potential variant series I may make (granted it is welcomed with success and favor. (And I have the time to make more...)). They are "The Turn of the Century" Variants, designed to display the greatest conflicts at the end of the year 1900.

Tell me what you all think of this map.

Of course....Here's an alternative:

Ok if this is really the turn of the century Africa a couple things
-Why does France have an SC and control of Morocco? France didn't get control of Morocco till 1911 with the Agadir Crisis
-What happened to the German Colonial Empire with P. E. von Lettow-Vorbeck and the SMS Panther?
-Why there is no British SC in South Africa? Britain was firmly entrenched in South Africa fighting with the Boers in the Second Boer War
