Hi fellow developers,

I have started playing webdiplomacy recently. I really like it.
I would like to add flash support to the game. Is there anyone else who thinks, the game would benefit with a flash support. Especially the map will be great if we can add flash support.
Then we can have on/off buttons to switch on/off various markers in the game.
I would like to elaborate more, if I am making sense so far.

Regards,
DrIFT.

Sorry looks like I missed this. I'm very keen to see what you come up with, but you should note that a lot of progress has already been made towards getting a dynamically updating map with many of the features you describe working with SVG (see the map section), and I think there'd be duplication of efforts if you started over on a Flash map

That having been said I'm very interested to see what you do  Let me know if I can help with the server-side data-access details

That is indeed the SVG map and the way to go.
Unfortunately as you might notice no progress has been made in about the last 18 - which is entirely my fault.
If you would like to take it over I'd be more than happy to explain where things have got to etc.
The main reason I never implemented it was that it reached such a stage it was ready to be incorporated, then the order/map system was updated to its current javascript format, and I never rewrote the backend to match this.

Made any progress?
I'd like to give it a try.

What's that in response to Sleepcap? Flash or SVG?
If SVG I'm more than happy to talk you through the few tasks required to make it work

Both... :-)

I have some free time and would like to help to test (I can do some small code-adjustments on my own).
My goal would be a 2-player variant map (maybe FranceVsAutria) that use a SVG or Flash map.

Well, I'm obviously going to support SVG because,
a) it's an open standard supported by W3
and b) I'd really like my work to actually get used!
