Could you send me your code?
And do you have some time to help integrating it in the FvA variant?

Oliver

I wouldn't think now's the time to add flash support. Flash is on the decline, with HTML5 surely set to remove it over the next 5 years or so. If it had already been implemented then fine, but to do it now?

There was someone thinking of writing a Java client, but I'm not sure how far they got; and the SVG stuff still hasn't been finished off now 3 years after it was started.

OK, just wondering...

As for Flash, I agree it's on some measure of decline, but it's a wonderful interface for something like this. I'm not suggesting it's necessarily BETTER than Canvas+HTML5, but the only thing I can think of as a negative for Flash as a graphical interface is that I don't know how to program in Flash!

Even Steve Jobs capitulated to not supporting Flash on the iPhone/Ipad: http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-20015954-264.html

As for Java applets, I'm definitely not a fan; sub-par compared to Flash and/or Canvas+HTML5.

JavaSCRIPT on the other hand, I am a huge advocate -- especially jQuery. I'll be looking into the possibility of using jQuery to interact with the map-making/order-entering process, but I wanted to know first where other ventures had progressed to.

If you want the SVG map stuffs, which might be a nice start for doing this in JS, send me an email and I'll forward them over.
